As a result of the donations received since only Thursday evening, amounting to nearly £1000, I have been contacted by a My London journalist who is writing a piece about the council's plans for a new leisure centre on the site of the present Kingfisher.

I have just published a blog post on Kingston council's claims about accessibility to the new leisure centre and how I believe that information used to justify how we will all access it, particularly by train, leaving our cars at home, is not substantiated by any facts or statistics.

TfL travel statistics for London also appear to have been changed to support a case for reduced car use in a borough that doesn't have a single tube station and only has direct links to two other stations within the borough
