Dear Signers,
Thank you so much for your support. After I tweeted this petition and stressed my concern over whether Rapido’s ‘Captains’ were sharing their customers’ personal information, I got a response from the company’s customer support team, asking if they could talk to me over call again. I had a fruitful conversation with them, where they clarified that Rapido’s ‘Captains’ aren't able to share their customers’ personal information. They also apologised for the fact that I had been discriminated against because of my disability, and told me that they had terminated the said ‘Captain’ from their platform.
I also shared my feedback with Rapido, about their mobile app not being fully compatible with screen-reading softwares for the visually impaired, and they’ve taken cognisance of the same. Rapido has also offered to invite me for knowledge-sharing sessions where they’d attempt to sensitise their ‘Captains’ about servicing customers with disabilities.
I’m thankful to Rapido for their speedy and empathetic customer support. Most of all, I thank you all, my signers, for helping me achieve closure on what was a truly humiliating experience.
