Daily, large amounts of waste is sent to landfill. In just the U.S, there is around 251 million tons of consumer solid waste produced on average each year. Yet, this amount increases rapidly each year, not just in the U.S, but globally. of this trash 55 percent is transported and buried in landfills across the country.

One of the reasons because of this trash is the amount of consumer bought foods that ends up moldy, expired and thrown away. Other items that are left on store shelves unwanted forgotten leftovers, whether in your fridge or in your local supermarket shop. Whilst many people are unaware of the affect of this rubbish, this does not mean there is no affect. Human waste, OUR WASTE, has the ability to disrupt animal reproduction and destroy ecosystems.With the growing amount of landfill space required, nature and animal habitats space is taken up. It pollutes the environment and litters the earth with human caused trash.
