Council are looking to close the 5-a-side football centre at the old Kensington Bowling Club to make way for a car park to service the new Community Centre. In an area designated for organised recreation, Randwick Council have failed to assess the needs of the community.

There is a shortage of football and multi-sport pitches in Randwick Council as outlined by Randwick Councils own Recreational Needs Study. KIKOFF have invested into this study and built two 5-a-side all-weather pitches that have to date been used by over 5000 players in organised competitions, coaching and casual hire. We need facilities like this in our area to help develop sport and support the local clubs and associations. It is not in Council's interest to close sports areas that have been used by so many of its constituents, in all age groups.
