Dear Supporters,

It’s now been quite some time since we launched this petition and over 39,000 of you supported us by signing it!   

Thanks to your support we have been able to show governments, European institutions and financial institutions that people really care about and want to save Polesia.

We now want to share with you that on January 22nd, we presented our petition at the European Parliament's Petitions Committee's monthly hearing in Brussels.

We have definitely raised the issue up the political agenda – due to your support!

The European Commission committed to having a structured dialogue with Poland to find out more about what is going on with Siarzewo barrage and E40 waterway plans. The Parliament's Petitions Committee decided to keep the Petition open to await updates and progress. 

That’s why we are going to close this petition on change.org.

However, you can still support us and spread a word by signing another petition against the Siarzewo barrier and the E40 waterway that we launched last April together with WeMove Europe and Azaaz.
