Hi! My name is Niraj and I just took over this petition. This is such an important issue because people are dying every day from consequences of addiction to smoking. This petition is a great step. Thanks for signing and I hope you'll consider sharing it as well. 

I am an oncology physician scientist. Many patients present at an advanced stage when the chance of cure is very small. Many quit after the diagnosis but it is too late by then. One of my current projects is a comprehensive review on smoking- mechanisms of carcinogenesis, overall impact on health and economy, regulations etc. There is an urgent need for governments around the world to stand up to the tobacco industry.
