Raise awareness for early Prostate Cancer detection
The Issue
One Conversation Could Change Everything
Help us make men's health, and early cancer detection, a national priority in South Africa.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among South African men. Thousands of men are diagnosed every year, and Black African men face a particularly high risk of developing the disease.
Yet too many men remain unaware of their risk, don't know what warning signs to look out for and delay speaking to a healthcare professional.
Additionally, too many families don't know what questions to ask until someone they love receives a diagnosis.
We believe this needs to change.
Early detection should not depend on whether someone happens to know the right questions to ask.
We can all play a role in encouraging the men we love to understand their risk and seek medical advice when something doesn't feel right, because sometimes, love looks like saying: "Have you been checked?"
We are calling for action.
By signing this petition, you commit to speaking to ten men in your life about their health.
- Your father.
- Your partner.
- Your brother.
- Your son.
- Your friend.
- Your colleague.
- Your neighbour.
- Your cousin.
- Your favorite petrol attendant.
- The male cashier at your local store.
Your signature is more than a signature. It is a promise to start ten conversations, with ten men.
A promise to look out for the people you love and to encourage the men in your life to take their health seriously and to choose knowledge over fear and action over silence.
Sign the petition. Take the Factor of Ten Pledge.
