The Rainforest Cafe is an international restaurant chain with the specific theme of the Amazon rainforest. As well as being a restaurant, they also offer educational tours on the rainforest as their website states: "Rainforest Cafe strives to help educate the public and area schools about the world's rainforests, threatened and endangered species, and conservation efforts to protect the planet's fragile ecosystems"

Despite their theme and apparent conservation efforts, they serve beef products on their menu which is completely illogical. With the rainforest currently burning at an alarming rate as a result of the demand for beef, the whole theme of their restaurant is contradicted by their menu. Therefore, they need to align their menu with their ethos, and that begins with removing all beef from their menu - before eventually removing all animals products, as animal agriculture in general is the no.1 cause of climate change.

We are asking for their CEO to action this change across all of their chains worldwide, so that their actions align with their beliefs, and to ensure that they truly help the rainforest. Similar changes have already taken place with Goldsmith university, who removed beef from their cafe to tackle climate change. Also French fine dining restaurant Gauthier Soho who having committed to changing their entire menu to a vegan one, so it is certainly possible for the Rainforest Cafe to make these changes too
