Request for special train from Bengaluru to Kerala on the occasion of Onam celebration.
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
As you may be aware that approximately 12 lakhs Keralites are living in the garden city where many
people are working in IT, Health Care and in various fields of other Manufacturing and Service industries.
Onam is the state festival of Kerala during which all the Keralites celebrate this 4 day long harvest
festival of oneness irrespective of religion, cast and creed. All Keralites prefer to celebrate this festival in
their native place along with their parents and grandparents.
Kindly be informed that, this year Onam is celebrated between August 24-28. We have 4 regular trains
to south Kerala and 1 regular train to north Kerala from Bengaluru. All the train tickets are showing as
waiting list even before three months. We would like to bring to your notice that, private buses are
charging three times more than the normal fare. Bus tickets of Karnataka SRTC and Kerala RTC are also
completely booked and no more seats are available.
Request you to please consider our humble request to allow a special train to south Kerala and north
Kerala before Onam, and also after Onam back to Bengaluru. Seeking your kindness to declare the same
at least 20 days before Onam which will help travelers to avail the benefits of the facility.
Thank you in advance and looking forward to your positive decision.
PS: I support the above request and signing here for the same.
