Recycling for Logan Hyperdome

The Issue

Approximately 150, 000 tonnes of rubbish is dumped into Logan's Browns Plains landfill each year. Amongst this rubbish, are many items including plastics, glassware and metals that could be readily recycled.

Whilst Logan residents have access to recycling facilities from their own home, not all commercial centres within Logan provide the community with these same basic facilities.

The Logan Hyperdome is Logan's largest shopping centre and one of the largest single storey shopping centres in Australia. It offers shoppers access to major retailers, services and food outlets. Yet customers are not provided a means to recycle their waste items whilst frequenting the centre.

Recycling waste is a simple and effective way to benefit our local environment and reduce the amount of land lost to waste contamination. Let QIC and the Hyperdome Centre Management know you care and let's get recycling.
