THE MORE THINGS CHANGE - THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME

Folks, it has become abundantly clear that misconduct = and CORRUPTION still exists in the Queensland Police Service. AND they play games with the public, counting on the fact that negative media articles fade in the public's memory, allowing them to get away with this behaviour time and time again.

The attached article demonstrates a culture of corruption folks. YES THIS IS A FORM OF CORRUPTION. Targeting a 'good' cop for being a whistle-blower is a most insidious form of CORRUPTION! 

THE ONLY WAY TO GET ANY FORM OF COMPLIANCE WITH QUEENSLAND POLICE IS TO IMPLEMENT A CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE.

If you take a look at what the Government has done with the Crime and Corruption Commission - watering down its powers several times over the years, and then handing it a general crime fighting capacity to draw its resources away from its primary function, you have a recipe ripe for disaster. Add onto this, that many of the 'officers' of the CCC are ex or seconded police officers, you have the same old formula of 'police investigating police'. 

IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE FOLKS - Please share this petition widely so we can get some numbers that really mean something. After all, if the Police and Government were 'fair dinkum' there would be absolutely no problem with implementing a truly transparent system of managing police complaints.
