WHEN JUST SACKING A POLICE OFFICER IS NOT ENOUGH!

Folks as I have written in the past, issues around police use of 'excessive force' are downplayed significantly on a routine basis.

As the attached article demonstrates, a police officer was sacked for 'excessive force' BUT what actually happens in these cases?

EXCESSIVE FORCE is a 'nice' way of saying a Police Officer committed a criminal assault on a Citizen. NOTHING LESS - yet here we are with cases where police officers, or ex police officers, NOT facing the courts for their criminal actions!

THIS IS NOT IN TUNE WITH COMMUNITY STANDARDS, AND SHOULD CHANGE! Citizens deserve better, and this can ONLY be achieved through a system of Civilian Oversight.
