HAVE WE FORGOTTEN ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS?

FOLKS - we are just 233 signatures away from reaching our 10,000 target. For those who have signed recently, I am going to ask that you share this petition, get your family, friends and associates to sign if you can.

WE NEED A VOICE IN THIS DAY AND AGE - folks in this day and age of terrorism - yes we need police without a doubt. But while our rights have been eroded, the checks and balances that should keep police powers in check have not been equally upgraded. Together with a general culture of turning a blind eye to misconduct, bashings, and other forms of criminal behaviour towards ordinary citizens - we have a problem that has now blown out of control. 

The problem is deliberately covered up, enough media stories have come out disclosing this. The POLICE DO NOT LIKE TO HAVE THEIR DIRTY LINEN OUT TO AIR IN PUBLIC.

I say, as will most of you - we need wrongdoing to be exposed. We need advocates to stand up for the more vulnerable in our communities, we need transparency and accountability more now than ever.

This petition is calling on the Queensland Government for something that is not only more than reasonable, it should have happened years ago. AFTER ALL, IT IS YOUR TAX DOLLARS THAT PAY FOR THIS 'SERVICE'.
