Come on you guys - Automation is a Death Trap and you know it.
'What's the lowest number of pilots you'd be comfortable with operating your flight at any one time' (Pick a number between one and four pilots) - Are you serious? Whoever came up with that idea should be fired on the spot.
Life is not a Game of Chance where you can just pick a number and hope for the best.
And to your so-called proponents that came up with the theory 'They also point to higher error rates from human pilots than automated systems' - is simply BS.
My life will always be in the hands of a human pilot over an automation system any day especially when the sh#t hits the fan and I am sure the majority of the travelling public would agree with me.
Please read 'No Man's Land' by Qantas Captain Kevin 'Sully' Sullivan (Ret.) for guidance. He would know because he and his men saved 315 lives from one of your own aircraft that tried to kill us all on October 7, 2008.
Please, take a hard look in the mirror and think about what really happened to flight QF72 in 2008 and flight AF447 in 2009 and learn from it?
