You might not have heard his name, but Christopher Behnam prevented what could have been one of the worst aviation disasters in US history.

He was the Captain of the United Airlines Flight 1175 from San Francisco that had to make an emergency landing in Honolulu last year after the engine cover came off in midair.

There were 381 people inside that plane and some of the passengers said they thought they were going to die. Now we hear from Captain Behnam, and his side of the story is just as chilling.

This year on July 18th, 2019, ALPA awarded the prestigious Superior Airmanship Award to Captain Christopher Behnam, First Officer Paul Ayers, and First Officer Ed Gagarina, for their heroic actions on February 13, 2018.

Please, with your help we too can give our 'Forgotten Heroes' the same public acknowledgment and recognition they deserve.

It will be 11 years this October 7, 2019, and still, the powers that be continue to ignore an important event that forever changed the lives of 315 people. So if you haven't signed the petition yet, please do so now and help us spread the petition far and wide.
