Hello everyone,

Greetings and Happy New year.

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologise to each and every one of our 5,000 plus supporters and counting for not keeping in regular contact as to our progress with our petition. I have been devoting all my time to help care for my daughter who was seriously injured in a collision with a speeding motorist while crossing the road. The main thing is that she is with us today (Praise God) and is undergoing intense rehab and I thank you for all your love, kind words, and support.

The other good news is that it's an absolute honour and great privilege to be able to share with you all that I have just received official word from the Office of the Australian Honours and Awards Secretariat that official correspondence has been received from the Office of the Australian Deputy Prime Minister The Hon Mr. Michael McCormack MP with our petition letter attached.

It will now go before the Council as there are processes in place to help assist in considering the merits of the outstanding achievement for services to Australian Aviation and to the Public Worldwide that these brave men performed in saving the lives of 315 passengers and crew onboard Qantas Flight 72 on 7 October 2008.

For your information, I have included below the names and contact details of those who have gladly assisted us along the way and we are very grateful indeed for their help, advice, and direction. Without them, we would not have come this far so soon. So please if you can it would be helpful if you could each send an email of support for our petition and thanks for their contribution.
