Standardized testing in Texas has high stakes attached to them.  High stakes mean STAAR/EOC assessments are tied to promotion and graduation. Also, there are several studies which have demonstrated STAAR is written above grade level.  Students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety, etc. are at risk. 

End the high stakes. HB 736 currently does this. Please set this bill for a hearing.
