Ad season is coming - prepare to see the Drug Free Florida ads all over the airwaves opposing Amendment 2. Publix money helped to pay for those, so be sure to remember that when you see the lies come out. Their ad campaign last year featured statements by a physician who had been in a lot of legal trouble in Florida and wasn't even allowed to practice medicine. Prepare for more. Stay after them folks - our shopping dollars paid for those ads - and I don't know about you, but it turns my stomach. Irv and I have found some beautiful shopping alternatives in our area. Great small markets with great prices too. We make it a POINT to let them know why they get our money. Other advocates out there are also taking pictures of receipts and posting to Publix pages showing them $ spent elsewhere. We will be doing the same.
