HASBROUCK HEIGHTS/WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - Needing a break from non-stop Coronavius news, and with temperatures rising to the mid 50's, parents and children tried to recapture a bit of normalcy by spending time at area parks on Sunday afternoon.

At Woodland Park, parents threw batting practice, kicked the soccer ball, pushed strollers, and walked their dogs. Children rode their bikes and scooters, and even played basketball. The playground was locked with a sign from the borough, which is closed until further notice.

Down at Veterans Park in Wood-Ridge, children could be seen playing in the playground while parents read or socialized. Several people played basketball or practiced their free throws in the court.
