As some of you may have seen, ITV News today did a segment on this issue in their 6pm News. 

When asked was this a financial decision, the representative from Public Health Wales said (in her words exactly) "No... We won't see any changes for this for the next 3 years financially".

So what you're saying is in fact, yes it is? Just for the next 3 years you'll still be catching up with those who's last smear was before 1st January 2022.

Please keep sharing this! Regardless if they believe their tests may now be more sensitive, not all cases are caught between the 3 year intervals we currently have, let alone 5 years!

So many women have reached out to me about their personal experiences, some of which had a normal result on their last smear and have now got progressed cervical cancer even before their next smear is due. What does this say about increasing the interval by another 2 years?
