The Batang Toru forest in North Sumatra is home to the last 800 critically endangered Tapanuli Orangutans. President Joko Widodo wants to build a dam which would slice their tiny habitat in half and doom them to extinction. If this plan were to go through it would set a terrible precedent, which could ensure the destruction of Leuser. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LET THIS HAPPEN!! Please sign the Avaaz petition.
