I recently contacted Irwandi Yusuf, the current governor of Aceh, to express my concerns about building the kluet dam. His response was very encouraging, saying that he loves the earth more than himself. He also said he would speak to his team and "give the best for our lovely environment." My hope is that he will take the well being of the rainforest into consideration.
