I believe medication decisions should be made with full transparency and informed consent.

This system has existed for decades, yet suffering, disability, addiction, and suicide continue to rise. Before the widespread use of modern psychiatric medications such as SSRIs and atypical antipsychotics, suicide rates in the United States were historically lower and relatively stable. Today, suicide remains one of the leading causes of death among young people worldwide, while psychiatric drug use in children, teens, and young adults continues to increase year after year.

The harms are documented.
The deaths are documented.

History is filled with extraordinarily talented people whose lives were devastated by psychiatric drugs and polypharmacy: Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and countless others whose names the public will never know. Families across the world have watched loved ones deteriorate, suffer severe side effects, lose themselves, or die after being prescribed medications promoted as “safe” and “necessary.”

I have spent years investigating and studying this industry, and I cannot support psychiatry as it exists today. It is a system built on unproven theories, coercion, secrecy, financial incentives, and misinformation.

There is no scientific test that proves a person has a so-called “chemical imbalance.” That phrase was marketed to the public as established fact despite lacking definitive scientific evidence. It became one of the most successful pharmaceutical narratives in history, used to justify mass prescribing while silencing criticism and minimizing harm.

Madi’s Law was created for one reason:
transparency, accountability, and true informed consent — basic protections that should already exist in healthcare.

Patients and families deserve to know the documented risks:
dependence, withdrawal, suicidality, emotional blunting, aggression, akathisia, cognitive impairment, neurological injury, and death.

The resistance to transparency says everything. Systems that welcome accountability do not fear open discussion, independent investigation, or informed patients.

Too many people have been harmed.
Too many families have buried loved ones.
Too many voices have been dismissed.

Ask yourself:
Who do you know that has been harmed, destabilized, or lost because of psychiatric drugs?

Almost everyone knows someone.

That alone should force society to confront how widespread this problem has become.

This is not abstract for me.
I lost my brother to Abilify.
I lost my daughter after being prescribed lorazepam, escitalopram, pregabalin, and naltrexone.
I have watched friends suffer irreversible harm. I’ve had friends die.

How long will this continue?

We teach our children to stay away from dangerous drugs, yet when they are struggling emotionally, many are sent into a system where powerful mind-altering medications are often presented as the first and only solution.

People deserve honesty.
People deserve informed consent.
People deserve the full truth about risks, outcomes, dependency, withdrawal, and long-term harm.

And above all, people deserve a mental health system built on transparency, compassion, and accountability — not silence and denial.
