This morning I received an email from the Prime Minister's office. It stated "I regret the circumstances that prompted you to write. Please be assured that your comments have been carefully reviewed. I have taken the liberty of forwarding your email to the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Health, for his information and consideration." Hopefully we hear back from the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos soon. Thank you to the Prime Ministers office for this email.
Later in the day I received an email from Doug Ford the premier of Ontario himself! Not from the office but from Doug Ford! I copy and pasted it to share with all of you!
Thank you Doug Ford for the response.
An email from the Premier of Ontario
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your views about psychotropic drugs. I was saddened to hear of your daughter Madi's passing, and please accept my condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.
The people of Ontario have put their trust in me to get the job done — I do not take that trust for granted. Our government will fulfill its promises and continue working for Ontarians every single day.
I've shared your email with the Honourable Sylvia Jones, Minister of Health, for her information.
Your input is important. You can be sure our government will consider it when developing policies and deciding how to address the various challenges we face today. It’s with your help and through this collaborative spirit we will build a brighter future for Ontario.
Thanks again for reaching out.
Doug Ford
Premier of Ontario
