Meeting with Congressman Panetta on Brookdale Post Office Closure Feasibility Study

Please join Congressman Jimmy Panetta, fellow elected officials, and community speakers on Wednesday, October 7, at 12:30 p.m. at the Brookdale Lodge for a gathering to highlight the community’s need for a local post office. 

The prolonged closure of the Brookdale Post Office has disrupted essential mail service and placed an ongoing burden on residents. This meeting will bring community members and elected leaders together to underscore the importance of restoring local postal services in Brookdale and preserving the post office’s role in the community.

We welcome your participation and invite you to share this invitation with your neighbors. Your presence will help demonstrate how much the Brookdale Post Office matters to the people it serves.

With the initial comment period on the USPS’s discontinuance feasibility study closing on October 11th, if you would like to bring your written feedback on the proposed closure to the event, our office will be collecting letters and bringing them directly to USPS’s P.O. Box. We will also have materials to write letters at the event. If you cannot attend in person, we welcome your comments on the proposed closure online at this link by October 9th. We will be submitting these comments as well.

Also there will be a new hard copy petition requesting the moving of the USPS to the Brookdale Lodge, available to be signed at the Wed. Oct. 7th meeting at the Lodge, and also at the Boulder Creek post office on Oct. 6th from 10-12 and 1-4.  If you are able to swing by and sign, please do!
