Hello there,
Simon here with a quick update.
Firstly, thank you for your signatures, support and shares! At the time of writing (9.30am Friday) we're up to just shy of 300 signatures.
Arriving back after a long day in town yesterday, disappointed to see lots of PCNs slapped on cars. If you were one of them, please do all you can to spread the word wider.
If anybody knows where the revenue goes from these fines please get in touch with a comment on the Facebook group. I don't know if APCOA keep 100% of fines or if there's a revenue share with Network Rail?
You may have received a flyer under your wiper blade or seen some of my posters dotted around.
As predicted, most of the posters have been removed but I'm ready with my laminator and printer to run off a load more this weekend! Gives the GWR staff something to do :)
I've stirred up a good healthy debate on the Twyford residents Facebook group - lots of opinions but I'm struggling to get to the history and the facts of what has been rejected / discussed previously.
I have had confirmation that more yellow lines are going down in the streets surrounding the station to stop "commuter parking". Be warned.
I have been contacted by a reporter from the local paper (Maidenhead Advertiser) and will be chatting with her this afternoon (Friday). Hopefully will get some column inches for our story off the back of that.....
I created a Facebook Group, not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but please do give it a follow if Facebook is your thing.
Have a lovely weekend,
Simon
