According to media sources,  Supreme Court on today issued notice to the centre against batch of petitions challenging SC ST (Prevention of Attrocities) Amendment Act, 2018. 

The division bench of Supreme Court comprising of Justice A K Sikri and Justice Ashok Bhushan have given six weeks time to the centre to file its reply but however refused for an interim stay of the operation of Act till the final disposal of the petition. 

For the past few days,  there have been chaos and restless among the members of svaran with the growing misuse of the Act which has become more as a tool of blackmail than serving the welfare of dalit community. 

Undoubtedly,  the provisions of the Act are misused to seek vengenace and to exact monetary benefits which is very traumatising and embarassment to the entire svaran community. This inhuman deliberate mischief has to be stopped immediately. Let us unite and fight strong.
