Dear Patients,

It is with great sadness that we announce the temporary closure of Beeton Walk-In Clinic, effective July 1 through October 2025.

Despite our best efforts to work with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and to seek timely assistance from our local MPP’s office, we have received no meaningful resolution. The Ministry has advised—through their contact with the MPP’s office—that a review of our file under the Commitment to the Future of Medicare Act (CFMA) may take anywhere from 3 to 12 months to complete. When we requested more direct involvement, we were told the MPP's office “cannot get involved in this bureaucratic process.”

This prolonged uncertainty places a significant financial burden on the clinic, making it impossible for us to continue operating without support or guidance. We have sent registered correspondence to the Ministry in April, followed by numerous emails and a petition signed by over 500 community members—yet we have received no reply.

We had hoped our service over the past seven years, consistently providing accessible and compassionate care in this region, would have prompted a more timely and supportive response.

We remain hopeful that this closure will be temporary, and that the Ministry will come to recognize the vital role our clinic plays in this community.

  For Our Primary Care Patients
If we are your primary care clinic, we kindly ask that you visit the clinic before June 26th to ensure your ongoing medications are refilled and that your care is up to date.

During our closure, you are welcome to visit any other walk-in clinic for urgent concerns. For emergencies, please visit your nearest emergency room or call 911.

If you find a new family doctor during this time and would like to transfer your care, we would be glad to assist you with the transition once our clinic resumes operations.
