100 Supporters! Thank You — Now Let's Reach 200

We reached our first milestone: 100 supporters!

Thank you to everyone who signed and shared this petition. Your support has helped turn one citizen's concern into a growing public request for congressional review of the proposed Yosemite/Kingsbarn land exchange.

There has also been important progress beyond the petition.

I have sent detailed requests for congressional review, with supporting documentation, to ten congressional leaders with jurisdiction over the National Park System, federal lands, appropriations, and oversight of the Department of the Interior. USPS tracking indicates that those letters should arrive at the congressional offices on September 8 and 9.

I have also contacted journalists and news organizations that have reported on or may have an interest in the proposed land exchange. Several journalists have responded, and the matter is receiving additional attention.

In addition, a leader of the Sierra Club's Yosemite Committee has told me that he agrees with the petition and intends to circulate it to Sierra Club members.

Now our next goal is 200 supporters.
