• June 3rd—The City concludes that the Verizon Application is incomplete and requests Verizon to revise its Application, submitted to the City January 7, 2013, to include an Alternative Site Analysis, as required by the City’s Municipal Code, and to address safety concerns raised by residents.
• June 6th—The City announces that the Verizon Application will be tabled and no vote taken at the June 10th Plan Commission meeting.
• June 6th Meeting with City—Legal counsel, engaged by adjacent residents, and a resident meet with the City Attorney, City Planner, the Mayor and legal counsel for the City. The residents’ legal counsel informs the City that real estate deed restrictions may prohibit the construction of a cell tower on that site and the City has no easements for Verizon contractors to enter private land to reach the site. The City plans on discussing these matters with the residents’ legal counsel in the near future.
