Hello, supporters!

We have passed 14k signatures and are well on our way to 15k. Given this progress (in less than a week!) and tomorrow's Annual Meeting of the Fellowship, we felt it was time to submit our letter and the petition to the Board of Trustees. Now, it is up to them. We can only hope they will listen to the thousands of supporters who are clamoring for the Museum to be brought back on the right path.

In the meantime, we want to thank the staff at the Mütter Museum. The people who work at the Museum are suffering from the changes management is pushing. The Museum staff - from the admissions staff to docents to the folks in the gift shop - work there because they care. They are passionate about the Mütter and they deserve our patience and respect. There's been a lot of turnover in the last few months (and not the "normal attrition rate" as the leadership would have us believe) and the staff is bearing the brunt of that.
When you visit, please be kind to them. Our fight is NOT with the staff of the Mütter. They are part of the institution, to be respected and protected. The leadership is trying to paint us as "crazy" and "unhinged" (ableist but unsurprising) and we are not. Passionate, yes. Upset, obviously. But perfectly hinged.

Save your ire for the administration, and the ghost of J Marion Sims.
