Tomorrow’s hearing is our only opportunity to speak directly to the Commissioners before they are scheduled to vote on this issue on March 18th.

THIS IS URGENT

1.      Please plan to attend tomorrow’s hearing at Town Hall.  The numbers of people present matters and the number of people who speak will matter!

2.      If you can speak, please arrive by 5:15 pm to sign up for a slot

3.      If you aren’t comfortable with public speaking, please sign up and “assign” your time to someone else (you will need to name the other person) who may need more minutes to talk.  You will also need to arrive by 5:15 to be sure you can sign up to speak even if assigning you time to someone else.

If this is your first time addressing the Town, no interaction is allowed.  This is a verbal presentation only, with no feedback from the Commissioners or Town officials.  Don’t ask questions of the Commissioners; they won’t answer.  Exhibits, presentations. handouts and models are not allowed.  

Speakers are usually allowed 3 minutes, but if many people sign up to speak, time may be cut back to just 2 minutes.  You might want to write your comments with this in mind, planning what you could leave out to shorten your talk to 2 minutes if needed.

We will hand out our Birkdale Village Responsible Rezoning buttons at the door for everyone to wear.  We will pick the buttons up after the meeting to have available to be worn at the next two meetings!
