The 2015 recommendations by the FACJJ were released. Two specific recommendations assist with the reduction in use of isolation. They are: 1) eliminate secure confinement under any circumstance for status offenders and 2) Require kids under the age of 18 not be confined in adult facilities prior to any adult conviction except when contra to the best interest of justice.
