Update: Over 700 Signatures — Continuing to Build Community Support

Thank you to everyone who has signed and supported this petition. We have now surpassed 700 signatures, reflecting strong and growing support from across the community.

In recent days, this issue has generated meaningful discussion, including local media coverage, as well as responses from both the Municipality and the Leamington Flyers. While these are important developments, key concerns remain, including:

Playoff ice availability in Leamington

Arena capacity and practical alternatives

Impacts on minor hockey and other local organizations

The need for clear communication and a strong, long-term partnership

As the Flyers continue their playoff run, we want to emphasize that our priority at this time is supporting the players, coaches, and staff.

Game 2 returns home this Sunday at Highbury Canco Arena. We encourage the community to come out, show their support, and create the atmosphere that has always made Leamington a special place for junior hockey.

At the same time, we will continue to grow this petition to ensure the community’s voice remains strong and clearly represented.

The petition will remain open throughout the playoffs and will be formally submitted following the playoff run, or once our next major milestone is reached.
