We’ve now surpassed 570 signatures, and the community support continues to grow.

The Leamington Flyers have now released their official statement regarding 2027 ice availability — and it highlights many of the same concerns being raised by the community.

Most notably:

A lack of consultation prior to the decision

The significant impact on playoff operations

The importance of long-term stability and partnership

We have also seen the Municipality’s recent clarification. While that communication is appreciated, it still does not fully address the core issue — ensuring that playoff hockey can remain in Leamington without impacting local organizations.

At this point, it’s clear:

We are asking for both sides to come together and find a solution that works for everyone.
