We Did It — Over 1,000 People Stand with Us!
Dear friends and supporters,
We have just reached an extraordinary milestone: more than 1,000 people have now signed our petition to protect the Art Deco Historic District from the proposed high-rise tower at 1501 Collins Avenue.
When I began this fight last winter, I knew how important it was to speak up for the historic character, architecture, and human scale that make Miami Beach so unique. But reaching 1,003 supporters shows that this concern extends far beyond just a few residents. Our community — and people from many other places — understands that once our architectural heritage is lost, it can never truly be replaced.
Thank you to every person who signed, shared the petition, spoke to friends and neighbors, attended meetings, or helped bring attention to this issue. Every signature has strengthened our voice.
This is an important milestone, but it is not yet the end of the fight. We must continue raising awareness and asking our elected officials and decision-makers to protect the integrity of the Art Deco Historic District.
