This petition now has more than 5000 supporters and I am ready to send it off. I am going to do this tomorrow so that any last minute signees can add their names.

Today I have a lovely video to share with you. This features Utility Canyon. The environment of this canyon is home to some lovely species of birds including a giant owl (not being an ornithologist, I don't know the name!). This canyon is one of the features that will be destroyed by the planned highway.

If this highway goes through as planned, we will have the distressing experience of the slow death of the unique ecology of this canyon. Moreover, I have the horrible feeling that it will be soon filled with plastic waste!

So...ask your friends to sign the petition to prevent this from happening.
