What We Ask: We urge the Government of Mauritius and relevant authorities to strengthen enforcement and penalties for violating the ban on swimming with whales, so that the law truly protects these animals and ensures tourism is safe for marine life.

My story: I had planned a trip to Mauritius and was excited to swim with whales. However, I learned from someone online that this activity is actually illegal and harmful to the whales. Realizing that the ban is rarely enforced, I decided not to go and instead create this petition. I want to make sure these magnificent animals are truly protected and can live safely in their natural habitat.
