In just 1 week, more than 750 people signed to support reading intervention teachers at Santa Monica elementary students.

Alicia Mignano, President of the SMMUSD Board, has confirmed that the Language and Literacy Interventionist (LLI) positions are secure for this year and the board will not return for layoff discussions on March 3rd. Your advocacy, along with the teachers and parents who spoke at the board meeting, played an important role in the board’s decision.

I will be closing this petition but will continue to stay engaged and follow the district and board’s actions on this matter.
