Protect Service Animals NI

The Animal Welfare (Service Animals) Bill.

I have received good news today from Mr. Andrews, DAERA.

Documentation relating to the consultation and draft legislation has completed the internal clearance process.

Ministerial approval has also been granted to obtain the views of the Minister of Justice on the draft consultation paper and to submit the draft consultation document to the NI Assembly Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (AERA) Committee for consideration.

I have the date for the AERA Committee meeting and thereafter the public consultation will be launched as soon as possible.
