Protect Police Dogs

This is Retired Police Dog Finn who saved his handler's life. Finn was close to death after he was stabbed through the chest. Under the old law at present being the Animal Welfare Act, Finn was treated as worthless akin to breaking a window.

This campaign is to change that old law which will now be called The Service Animals (Offences) Bill 2018 known as 'Finn's Law' and give service animals greater protection and recognised as a serving Police Officer with offenders receiving longer sentences, 5-10 years, for injuring or killing a service animal.

The campaign here was to support RPD Finn and the Team also to ensure that Northern Ireland would be included in The Service Animals (Offences) Bill 2018. Team Finn Northern Ireland has the backing of the Democratic Unionist Party to ensure that Northern Ireland is included and will be taking this to Westminister.

Finns Law is not about politics. Finns Law is a point of law.
