We, fans and consumers from different countries, hereby submit this petition to formally request the intervention of BigHit Music / HYBE Corporation regarding the practices adopted by the ticketing companies Ticketmaster and Live Nation, which are currently the subject of investigations, lawsuits, and complaints in several countries.

We make it clear that BigHit Music and HYBE are not under investigation. However, as contracting companies and those responsible for the audience’s experience, they have the power and responsibility to intervene, demand changes, or replace providers when improper practices harm real fans.

🚨 What is happening around the world

In recent years — and even more intensely lately — fans have faced serious and recurring problems when purchasing tickets, including:

🇺🇸 United States

Ticketmaster and Live Nation are targets of investigations and legal actions by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state attorneys general.

These investigations involve anti-competitive practices, failures to combat bots, indirect favoritism toward scalpers, lack of transparency in queues, and abusive pricing.

🇧🇷 Brazil

Fans report tickets selling out within seconds, only to immediately reappear on resale platforms at prices far above the original value.

There are public videos and reports of scalpers holding tickets and purchase links before the official sale begins, raising suspicions of improper early access.

Lawmakers and consumer protection agencies have been called upon to investigate these practices.

🇲🇽 Mexico

High-demand ticket sales sold out almost instantly, followed by resale at extremely inflated prices.

These practices prompted actions by consumer protection authorities, including investigations and sanctions related to abusive resale.

🌍 International and historical cases

Major international tours have already exposed structural failures within Ticketmaster, including the inability to contain bots and mass purchases.

These incidents have led to government hearings, legislative debates, and widespread international media coverage.

💔 The impact on fans

These practices directly harm real fans who:

• follow all the rules,
• wait in official queues,
• attempt to purchase tickets at face value,
• yet are excluded from the process while tickets are captured by scalpers and resold at abusive prices.

For artists like BTS, whose relationship with fans is built on respect, accessibility, and genuine connection, this situation is incompatible with the values represented by BigHit and HYBE.

📢 What we are asking for

Through this petition, we request that BigHit Music / HYBE Corporation:

1. Intervene directly with Ticketmaster and Live Nation, demanding immediate and verifiable changes;
2. Reevaluate the continuation of these companies as official ticketing providers, especially in markets with recurring investigations and complaints;
3. Require effective measures against bots and scalpers, such as: named tickets, identity verification, real purchase limits, independent audits;
4.      Ensure transparency in queue systems, access, and ticket release processes;
5. Prioritize solutions that guarantee real fans fair access to tickets at official prices.

🎶 The concert experience begins with ticket sales

When the purchasing process is unfair, illegal, or flawed, the entire fan experience is compromised.

This petition is not an attack, but a collective, legitimate, and global request for investigated and harmful practices to stop affecting millions of fans around the world.

Millions of dedicated fans worldwide, like myself, have felt wronged and disrespected while trying to purchase tickets for their favorite shows through Ticketmaster / Live Nation. It is unacceptable that scalpers are able to obtain tickets even before the official public sale begins, undermining fair and democratic access for genuine consumers.

The concerts and events we love should be moments of joy and celebration, not frustration and hopelessness. Currently, the lack of oversight and transparency in ticket sales makes this experience exhausting for the public, while benefiting those who seek only personal profit.

Ticketmaster and Live Nation must implement effective and transparent measures to ensure that all fans have a fair chance to purchase tickets.

We appeal to the competent authorities and to the executives responsible at Ticketmaster and Live Nation to take urgent and meaningful action. The integrity of the ticketing market must be protected in the name of those who make every show possible: the fans. Our love for music and entertainment deserves respect.
