But we need a lot more signatures to really make the EU wake up to the fact that Pride bans and obstructions are really attacks on democracy, and everyone's freedom. 

This weekend, Pride is banned in the Romanian city of Oradea, which is part of the EU. The mayor's stated reason for banning it? "Violation of social conduct and morality norms."

But Pride will go ahead in Oradea, no matter what. After all, when one group cannot peacefully assemble, no one is safe from being banned from exercising their democratic rights.
