A Community Movement for Health, Unity and Wellbeing
We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon the relevant Government Authorities, the Forestry Department, the Municipality, and all public officials to work with the Power Beach Community rather than against it.
For more than eight years, Power Beach has grown into a volunteer-driven community movement dedicated to promoting health, wellbeing, fitness, environmental care, volunteerism, friendship, and positive social change.

Built almost entirely through volunteer effort, community support, and personal sacrifice, Power Beach has inspired thousands of residents and visitors to exercise outdoors, connect with one another, and embrace healthier lifestyles.
Today, we ask for your support—not only for Power Beach, but for the principle that community initiatives deserve communication, cooperation, and respect.
THE JOURNEY BEHIND THE FUTURE SIGN
The vision for the "Power Beach Welcomes You" entrance has been developing for approximately seven years, while the sign itself has been actively planned, designed, engineered, and developed over approximately fourteen months (May 2025-Present August 2026)

As the Creator of Power Beach, OktoRock has long envisioned the completed park—a unique outdoor fitness destination unlike any other, featuring palm trees, flowers, herbs, monkey bars + rings (The OktoHex), gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, bench presses, barbells, weights made from concrete and wood and recycled materials, Squat Rack, shade, climbing ropes, dips stations, ballerina poles, a yoga sanctuary, an arm-wrestling temple, and many other inspiring fitness installations that encourage people of all ages to live healthier lives.
The Great Vision has been seen many years ago already.
The future entrance sign represents far more than a welcome message.
It symbolizes the beginning of that long-term vision.

During the past several months, volunteers focused on constructing the steel-and-concrete foundation that would permanently support the future entrance sign.

On Sunday, 26 July 2026, volunteers began excavating the site and installing the engineered steel foundation before pouring the first layer of concrete.

Work began at approximately 10:00 a.m. and continued until 2:00 a.m. the following morning—a total of 16 hours of determined volunteer work.
On Monday, 27 July 2026, the first indication was received that the Forestry Department intended to remove the newly installed foundation.
During the following days, Oktorock publicly informed the community about the situation while continuing to seek constructive communication.
On Thursday, 30 July, he met with representatives of the Forestry Department, where he presented the wider vision for the future beautification of the Dassoudi Power Beach area. The long-term plans were positively received by several staff members. However, we were subsequently informed that the foundation would be removed—not carefully dismantled and preserved, but destroyed.
On Friday, 31 July 2026, without prior notice, the Forestry Department arrived with heavy machinery and used a tractor to excavate and remove the steel-and-concrete foundation, placing the damaged structure to one side.

WHAT WAS ACTUALLY REMOVED?
It is important to clarify one fact.
The future Power Beach entrance sign itself was never installed and therefore was never destroyed.
What was removed was the newly constructed steel-and-concrete foundation, carefully engineered and built to support the future entrance sign.
The future sign has already been designed to consist of two beautiful wooden hexagon-shaped posts supporting handcrafted marine-plywood signs, specifically chosen to withstand Cyprus's coastal climate.

That foundation represented months of planning, engineering, fundraising, craftsmanship, volunteer labor, and community spirit, all undertaken with one simple purpose:
To beautify a public space and create a welcoming entrance to Power Beach for everyone.
For us, the removal of the foundation represents the destruction of months of volunteer work—but not the destruction of the vision itself.
THE VISION OF WELCOMING LOCALS & TOURISTS INTO "THE PLACE OF INFINITE POWER"
The top picture captures a challenging moment in 2020, when Power Beach faced the difficult setback of losing its equipment during the Coronavirus period.
The picture below shows OktoRock turning that challenge into motivation—working tirelessly to rebuild and create what he envisioned as the coolest muscle-themed park in the world. Here, he is welding the “Buff Box,” the home for our Power Beach weights, representing the spirit that has carried this movement forward.
A commitment to “NO DAYS OFF” and leaving behind the “AVRIO” (tomorrow) mentality, choosing instead the power of “TODAY”—because real change is built through action, dedication, and showing up when it matters most.
WE BELIEVE THERE WAS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR DIALOGUE
We believe that before removing a volunteer-built community project, there was an opportunity to begin a constructive conversation.
Instead of immediately removing months of volunteer work, we believe the first questions should have been:
1) What is the purpose of this project?
2) How does it benefit the Community?
3) How can we work together to make it compliant?
4) How can positive community initiatives be supported instead of discouraged?
Power Beach has never sought conflict.
Our vision has always been to improve public spaces, encourage healthier lifestyles, inspire young people, promote tourism, and strengthen communities through cooperation.
This movement is not about fighting the system.
It is about improving what already exists through respect, responsibility, communication, cooperation, and community participation.
WE RESPECTFULLY ASK THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES TO:
1. Meet with representatives of Power Beach and begin a constructive dialogue regarding the future of the project.
2. Support a collaborative solution for the future installation of the Power Beach entrance sign while ensuring all relevant legal and environmental requirements are respected.
3. Establish stronger communication between community initiatives and public authorities before volunteer projects are removed or dismantled.
4. Encourage volunteer-led projects that improve public spaces rather than discouraging them.
5. Recognize the positive contribution that Power Beach has made to thousands of people over the past eight years.
6. Work together with the Power Beach Community to find constructive solutions that both protect public spaces and encourage positive volunteer initiatives.
OUR GOAL IS SIMPLE
