Our group has worked tirelessly to gather over 3,550 email verified signatures in support of keeping the Port Perry Fairgrounds a public space for generations to come. 

Many dedicated volunteers went door to door—sometimes even in the rain—to collect and share this petition across the Township.

Unfortunately, when we submitted the petition for inclusion on the upcoming Council agenda, it was rejected due to two procedural bylaw requirements. This is especially disappointing as the same petition format was accepted and acknowledged last year.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who signed and supported this effort. We also apologize that your voices will not be formally heard at this meeting.

Please know that your commitment to protecting our community space continues to inspire us, and we remain dedicated to ensuring the Fairgrounds remain public for the future.
