The petition was presented to the school board for the first time tonight.  While it does appear to have gotten their attention, I do not believe it has changed their minds.  There are 2 things for us to do over the next month.

1. Continue to share this and encourage residents that feel called to sign.  It will be presented again at the September 7th board meeting where the board will be voting on adoption.
2. If you, or anyone you know has children in the schools mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  The school will be having a parents presentation explaining the instruction.  The notice handed out at the board meeting specifically lists K-5.  As things get closer I'll post another update on who should attend.  Also keep an eye on the school's website as the'll be posting the updated curriculum soon.
