The developer has already purchased the houses directly next to mine and plans to extend the turnpike road and build a driveway for semi-trucks right beside my property. As a parent of two young children, I’m deeply worried about what this will mean for our everyday lives.

This development would bring a constant stream of semi-trucks and industrial activity just feet from our home, turning our quiet neighborhood into a 24-hour industrial zone. Day and night, we’d be exposed to the relentless noise of trucks and heavy machinery, making it impossible for my children to play safely outside or sleep soundly at night. Diesel exhaust, bright lights, and the rumble of engines would be our new reality—all while my family tries to live, work, and grow in what should be the sanctuary of our home.
