These are just a few images of Non-recyclable cartridge waste we receive at our facility every day. Electronic Waste Recycling facilities across the country are faced with similar issues. Due to the flood of generic non-recyclable cartridges coming in from overseas, more and more remanufactures and E-Waste recyclers are rejecting the acceptance of these cartridges. Over a million used cartridges are ending up in U.S. landfills every day, so this issue needs to be addressed because the problem is only getting worse.

Other ways to help:

1. Avoid purchasing generic printer cartridges.
2. Buy U.S. remanufactured printer cartridges to support U.S. Recyclers and Remanufacturers.
3. Email Representative Frank Pallone, Jr. at  frank.pallone@mail.house.gov ask him to have his committee investigate banning imported generic non-recyclable printer cartridges
4. Email Senator Maria Cantwell at maria_cantwell@cantwell.senate.gov asking her to have her Senate committee investigate banning imported generic non-recyclable printer cartridges.
