Over 2,000 passionate supporters have already viewed and signed our groundbreaking petition, and we're just getting started! Our voices are being heard at the highest levels, with a recent acknowledgment from the Prime Minister's Office and the Department of Health and Social Care. They recognize the alarming obesity rates and have taken steps like implementing the Soft Drinks Industry Levy (SDIL), targeting sugary soft drinks since 2018.

While these efforts have led to notable sugar reductions in various products and age groups, a critical issue remains unaddressed: the unchecked sugar content in hot beverages sold by major food and drink chains. Did you know that a single cup of hot chocolate can contain between 32g to 75g of sugar? That's over 100% of your daily sugar intake in just one drink!

Shockingly, even though hot chocolate was included in a voluntary sugar reduction program with a target to cut sugar by 20%, the sugar content has actually increased by 5%. This oversight is unacceptable, especially considering the massive consumption rates among both children and adults. Tackling this issue could significantly improve weight management, heart health, asthma, diabetes, and obesity rates nationwide.

Our petition aims to compel the industry to halve the sugar content in these sugary drinks, a crucial first step towards enhancing the health and well-being of all consumers. Imagine the impact of a healthier choice becoming the norm!

We need your help to amplify our message. Share this petition today and stand with us as we take this critical issue to the Prime Minister (again). Every signature strengthens our cause and brings us closer to a healthier future.

Share this call to action with your network, and together, let's create a ripple effect of change that reaches every corner of our community. The more eyes we can get on this, the greater our chances of success.

Join us in this vital movement for health and wellness!

Next steps: To reach out to PM again and local council.

Thank you for all your support thus far!
