Join Us for the March to Save the Sea!
We have planned a march to celebrate our beloved ocean and we invite you to bring joy and creativity to it. Wear blue or black clothes, ocean-themed costumes inspired by marine life, or even your board with a sign. It's a march, we are going for impact!!!
We need to show that this issue is significant to everyone in our community.
The larger the turnout, the greater the impact we can have to prompt our government into action. Wear blue or black or an ocean inspired costume.
When: Sunday, March 09, 2025
Time: 10am-1pm
Where: Santa Monica City Hall
Meet in front of Santa Monica City Hall Wear blue, black or an ocean-inspired costume
OUR DEMANDS
- Immediate, environmentally safe and ecologically-minded clean up of our beaches making sure to protect the fragile ecosystem of the Santa Monica Bay.
- Relocate the hazardous waste processing from Will Rogers Beach and Topanga Canyon-these sites are too close to the ocean and risk further toxic contamination of the beaches.
- Comprehensive and transparent soil and water testing-frequent public reporting,
quantified results, increased lab testing and more sample sites across affected
beaches.
